The Silberhöhe district, alongside Neustadt, is one of Halle (Saale)’s characteristic large-scale socialist housing areas. Its cubist architectural structure forms the basis for an abstract surface design across two corresponding gables in the neighborhood center. One wall presents an enlarged detail of the other, creating a visual dialogue between the two.

The strict linearity of the depicted forms required a particularly precise and technically demanding painting process.
